KPCL’s power project in Chhattisgarh

As informed by Government of Chhattisgarh, during the last three years, Government of Chhattisgarh has signed one MoU with Government of Karnataka and Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL), for setting up of a 2×800 MW coal based thermal power project in District Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh. The estimated cost of the project is Rs.9723.43 crores as informed by KPCL.

KPCL is presently working on obtaining various clearances for the implementation of the aforesaid project which includes acquisition of land, water allocation, coal linkage for supply of coal, power evacuation, environmental clearance, etc
