Status :
- DPR prepared by M/s DCPL, Kolkata. Estimated cost Rs. 3066 crores based at prices in Jan-Mar’2009.
- The Processing Fee of Rs 5 Lakh submitted to Ministry of Coal by BSEB vide letter no 682 dt 27.06.2006 for coal linkage. Coal Linkage awaited.
- BHEL to implement BTG package (Boiler-Turbine-Generator) as OEM. Cost proposed Rs. 1,250 crores. BOP Package through different vendors in tendering mode.
- BPIC – JV of GoB and ILFS is BSEB’s consultant.
- State Plan outlay amounting to Rs. 180 crores has been approved by Planning Dept., GoB for year 2009-10.
- NOC from Airport Authority of India has been obtained for chimney height of 275 meters.
- Proposal to draw water from River Ganga for consumptive use. Water Resources Dept., GoB has accorded clearance for 60 cusecs for BTPS Units (existing and extension units).
- Ganga Water Scheme: M/s WAPCOS is consultant. Interim report submitted. DPR under preparation and expected to be submitted by 31-01-2010.
- 100% generated power to BSEB.
To be commissioned in : 2013-14
