Dainik Bhaskar Power awards EPC Contract to BHEL

BHEL has bagged a contract from Dainik Bhaskar Power for setting up a 1,200 MW thermal power plant (2×600 MW) in Chhattisgarh.

The project involves supplying and installing the main plant package for DBPL’s upcoming coal-based thermal power project, located at Baradarha in Janjgir district of Chhattisgarh. BHEL’s scope of work in the contract envisages design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of Boilers, Steam Turbines and Turbo-Generators along with state-of-the-art Controls and Instrumentation (C&I) and other associated auxiliaries.

The contract is valued at Rs.2665 crore.
