Cethar Vessels Makes Foray into Power Generation Business
Posted on September 2, 2010.Cethar Vessels, a leading power generation equipment manufacturer based in Tiruchy is planning to enter power generation business.
As a part of the expansion plans, the company is planning to set up a 1010 MW thermal power plant with an investment of Rs.5000 crore. In addition, the company is also planning to set up a solar farm with a capacity of 12 MW in Pudukkottai district. The project is estimated to cost Rs. 180 million.
Besides, the company is planning a facility to manufacture turbines for thermal power plants in Tiruchy with an outlay of Rs 1,200 crore. The proposed plant will be set up over the next three years in phases with a total capacity of 4000 Mw.
