NTPC – Combined cycle Gas Based TPP in Haryana
The proposal is for expansion of existing 430 MW (Stage-I) by addition of 1050 MW (Stage-II) Gas Based Combined Cycle Power Plant. No additional land is required for the expansion proposal except for green belt development in additional 30 acres of land. The co-ordinates of the plant will be at Latitude 28020-33- N to 28020-57- N and Longitude 77021-12- E to 78021-56- E. Natural gas requirement will be about 5.325 MMSCMD. Water requirement of about 48 MLD will be obtained from Rampur distributary of Gurgaon Canal. Water commitment of 67.2 MLD is available.
The environmental and forests ministry informed NTPC that after preparing the draft EIA the same shall be submitted to the SPCB for conducting the public hearing as per procedure of EIA notification 2006. The issues which emerge during public hearing shall be further incorporated in the Draft EIA/EMP report. The final EIA/EMP report along with public hearing report and the requisite documents (including written objections, if any) shall be submitted to the Ministry for appraisal by the Expert Appraisal Committee for consideration of awarding environmental clearance.
