Project : 1320 MW ( 2 x 660 MW) Supercritical Coal Fired Thermal Power Project in Andhra Pradesh

Location : Painampuram, Varakavipudi and Sivarampuram Villages, Muthukur Mandal, SPS Nellore Mandal , SPS Nellore District.

Project Cost : Rs.6822 crore.

Details : The proposed plant will use imported coal as fuel supported by secondary fuel oil ( LDO) for start up and the annual coal required will be 5.48 million tpa. The imported coal will be received at Krishnapatnam Port and will be transported to the power plant by closed conveyor. The power generated from the plant will be evacuated at 400 kV voltage level to the existing substation of powergrid at Krishnapatnam located about 10 kms from the plant site.

The company recently invited bids for turnkey EPC contract for the proposed project. The scope of the contract included Engineering, Procurement, Design , Supply, Transportation to site , installation, testing, commissioning, trail operation & performance testing and putting into successful operation of the super critical power plant.
