Tecpro eyes for overseas partnerships

Tecpro Systems is in talks with a few overseas boiler, turbine and generator (BTG) makers for partnerships to tap the growing potential of the Indian power sector.

According to vice chairman and MD of the turnkey solutions provider, Amul Gabrani, “We are talking to different BTG players so that we can offer each and every solution to the power plants.”

The inability to supply BTGs to power plants is the only missing link in Tecpro’s ability to compete as a complete engineering, procurement and construction player, he said.

Gabrani did not share details on the nature of the proposed partnerships. However, he said once the partnerships were forged, Tecpro would be in a better position to tap the growing potential of the domestic power sector and its topline would also grow manifold.

Established in 2001, Tecpro Systems reported a Rs 1,975 crore turnover in 2010-11 and entered the current fiscal with a Rs 4,350 crore orderbook.
